Within the research category are sub-categories for Advertising, Food research, and Environment research. Rare fish require Research, which of course cost money, the higher the research required, the higher the cost. There are 7 Rare fish to discover, and a total of 21 different species. There are daily rewards as well, that are available every 24 hours. You can also buy aquarium decorations, equipment upgrades, or items in the shop that will bring in more revenue. Insta-birth, insta-hatch and even insta-growth formulas can be purchased with money you earn selling fish, or completing various goals. Some fish play a vital role, such as keeping fish from becoming ill, so you will want to hang onto the important ones.Įverything takes time, laying eggs, hatching eggs, and growing to adulthood, but lucky for us, there's products to purchase to speed up these processes. You can click on any adult fish in the tank, to pull up the Species Information, which tells you the name of the species, if it's pregnant, it's health status, how well fed it is, and whether it's a common or uncommon species. After a few seconds, the magic takes place as indicated by the red hearts. You just need to select 2 fish (they don't need to be the same species) from the aquarium, and place them into the breeding tank. It took me a while to figure out that I had to remain in the "shop" to sell fish, I thought selling the fish would take place while I was tending to my fish, but that wasn't the case. It's a pretty simple game in reality, but the tutorial is horrible at explaining the basics, at least in my experience. Then you sell them to make money, which allows you to buy supplies and decorations.

That's exactly what you do in Fish Tycoon, only with fish, as you drag two fish into the breeding tank, and see what their offspring is. I HAVE A CONFESSION TO MAKE.I TRIED TO SELL FELIX This game is a little tricky at first to figure out, but once you do, it's kind of fun! It reminds me of Doodle God, the game where you combine two elements to come up with an entirely different element. I am thankful for games like this, ones that are not "fear" based and grim.

imagine the different kinds of birds, colored feathers and eggs living in different nests, they could do a lot with that and it could go a long way. Now if we can just get them to do a "Bird Tycoon". All in all, This is a wonderful game, one that will give you many hours of intertainment. I love the music and the sound of the water, it is so calming and relaxing. I miss in the store where you could at least clink on useful info to stop the boring time it takes to sell the fish, it would of been great if you could get a coin for every balloon popped and I do love the mascot and change of people though I do miss the kids.

I feel that they took away so many of the good and much needed things like the very important growth chart, so without paper and pen you must have a good memory to remember who breed with who. Though the graphics are so much better and the amount of different colored fish is incredible. I am a huge fan of fish and plant tycoon so if you have not tried the first game you will not notice the changes.
